The Montrose congregation is a Bible-based body of New Testament Christians devoted to following the pattern revealed in God’s Word. We strive to teach and preach the plan of salvation exactly as it was proclaimed when the church was established on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:36–41, 47).
Our goal is to continue steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers (Acts 2:42), calling all people to hear the gospel (Romans 10:17), believe in Christ (John 8:24), repent of sins (Acts 17:30), confess their faith (Romans 10:9–10), and be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16).
We seek to honor Christ as the head of the church (Ephesians 1:22–23) and to speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent (1 Peter 4:11), encouraging all to follow the New Testament pattern in faith and practice.
